Arsenal who are still in the market for a new striker has reportedly ended their interest in Alexandre Lacazette.

They believe that Alexandre Lacazette is not worth the £42m being asked by Lyon and that they will prefer to pursue other options.

After failing to land Jamie Vardy, it is believed that Arsene Wenger had turned his sight towards the Lyon striker. Unfortunately for him, Lyon is not keen to allow their star player to leave on the cheap. They are prepared to sell the player but if the right offer comes in but at the moment Arsenal is not prepared to pay big money for him. Indeed, this will put Lacazette on par with players such as Mesut Ozil and he clearly is not in the same league at the moment.

Alexandre Lacazette has had an impressive season in France where he scored 23 goals in 43 appearances. His good performance in Ligue 1 has attracted the interest of many European clubs and it is believed that West Ham have also made offers for the players. However, it is believed that Alexandre Lacazette is not keen on joining West Ham and would prefer a much bigger club.

He might have been interested to move to Arsenal, but Arsene Wenger has reportedly ended his interest in learning about the valuation of the player. He has stated that he will be pursuing other options to strengthen the team.

It is believed that Arsenal is currently investigating the possibility of signing Gonzalo Higuain. The Napoli striker has been great last season where he ended the Serie A as the top striker. There is news that Arsene Wenger might be prepared to include Olivier Giroud as part of the deal to convince the Napoli board to allow the player to leave.
