Just when it seems that Wenger has managed to create a squad sufficiently good enough to win the Premier League, either some of their key players decide to leave the club or are sold. This is the case with Ashley Cole, Van Persie, Fabregas, Adebayor and others.

Some of those players continue receiving the support from Arsenal fans even when they leave the club but others are turned into villains and an example of this was Van Persie and Fabregas.

When the Dutchman Van Persie left Arsenal and joined Manchester United, during one of his opening conference and interviews Van Persie stated that he wanted to join a club where he can win silverware. This statement caused uproar of emotions but mostly anger with the fans of Arsenal.

Fabregas meanwhile joined Barcelona as it was his childhood club and supporters of the club are more supportive of the Spanish midfielder’s reason to leave the Premier League club.

Samir Nasri is another player that has been turned into a villain and the French midfielder revealed some of the main reasons on why he decided to leave Arsenal and join their direct rivals Manchester City.

‘’When you leave for a club where there is more money, you are supposed to be mercenary. I took stock before I went to Manchester City; I was joining a club with Yaya Toure, David Silva, Sergio Aguero, Carlos Tevez’’.

‘’I spent three seasons at Arsenal without any title and at the end of the season we sold our best player that was Cesc Fabregas. I preferred to join City and I won titles and indeed I earn a better living. And why not a second national title in three years? I am very happy with my choice.” Nasri stated.
