The chances of Arsenal securing the Premier League title this season have been hit with a huge blow after only being able to pick up a 2-2 draw against Swansea City which comes a few days after losing against Chelsea.

Arsenal fell behind in the scoreboard when facing off against Swansea City after Wilfried Bony scored the opening goal but they managed on taking the lead when Podolski and Giroud scored at the 73rd and 74th minute but a late own goal from Flamini forced a draw out of the match.

The Premier League is being tightly contested with only a few points making the difference between the 1st and 2nd spot of the English league and this result is something that Arsenal was not hoping to see at the end of the match as this allows their rivals on leaping ahead of them.

”This result tonight hurts us a lot. The way it happened of course is more frustrating. … We made a mistake on the second goal, it was not needed.” Arsene Wenger said. If you still fancy them to win, why not use our partner’s £100 Welcome Bonus – Bet now!.

Arsenal was eager to bounce back from their disappoint 6-0 defeat against Chelsea but unfortunately for Wenger and his squad things just didn’t happen as initially expected. Despite having dominated possession for much of the match, they struggled on creating any clear-cut chances on actually scoring the goals from Podolski and Giroud wasn’t enough for them to come out with all the 3 points.

Arsene Wenger is hoping he can sign Schalke’s Julian Draxler in the summer after failing to secure his services in the January transfer window but it is believed that Arsenal is ready to activate the €37 million release clause of the 20 years old German midfielder. The French tactician is wary about the importance of sealing the deal before the 2014 World Cup initiates.
